Description
"The Brunello di Montalcino Rennina, produced by the Pieve Santa Restituta estate in Montalcino, is a prestigious wine that stands out for its uniqueness. Made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes harvested from three vineyards surrounding the ancient church of Renning, this wine reflects the richness and diversity of the 10-hectare terroir composed of sand, tuff, and clay. The vines, about 20 years old, are exposed to the south-southwest, an ideal condition for the maturation of the grapes. The separate vinification for each vineyard involves a fermentation and maceration of three weeks, followed by aging of 24 months in wood and an additional 6 months in concrete tanks for assembly. This meticulous process gives life to a Brunello with an intense color and a generous bouquet with notes of wild berries, flowers, and subtle spices. On the palate, the wine offers a perfect balance, with silky tannins and an elegant structure that guarantees longevity. The first vintage of Gaja, produced in 1994, testifies to the continuity of excellence of this renowned estate. "
