Description
The Grattamacco wine comes from vineyards located between 100 and 200 meters above sea level, with a soil of calcareous sandstones and white clays mixed with marly limestone flysch. The climate is Mediterranean, tempered by sea breezes. Viticulture respects the environment, ensuring low yields and a natural balance. The grapes, handpicked from 25-year-old vineyards, undergo spontaneous fermentation in open oak vats, followed by long macerations. The wine is aged for 18 months in barriques and bottled in August 2022. The vintage benefited from rains in late August, promoting slow and balanced ripening. The mild climate allowed for rapid maturation of the grapes, with harvest concentrated in the second decade of September. It is characterized by generosity and freshness, with an intense and fruity aroma profile accompanied by balsamic and Mediterranean hints. On the palate, it offers a balanced fusion of minerality and voluminous tannic structure, with a final note of freshness promising longevity.
