Description

Radici Taurasi Riserva 2008 is a wine that pays homage to Antonio Mastroberardino, the pioneer and protector of Irpinia viticulture, who dedicated his life to enhancing the ancient traditions and quality of this unique territory. His portrait, made by his son Piero, appears on the label of this special bottle. This wine is made from Aglianico grapes, vinified with prolonged maceration at controlled temperature. After fermentation, the wine matures for about 30 months in French oak barriques and Slavonian oak barrels. The result is a wine with an intense and refined aroma, with notes of tobacco, spices, cherry, berries, plum and balsamic. On the palate it is harmonious and elegant, with flavors of plum, bitter cherry, strawberry jam, black pepper and licorice.
