Description

The Sperss vineyard, located in the Marenca-Rivette subzone of Serralunga, spans 12 hectares of land shaped like an amphitheater with clay-limestone marls. The vines, boasting over 50 years of age, benefit from an optimal south to southwest exposure at an average altitude of 370 meters. The winemaking process involves a three-week fermentation and maceration, followed by extensive aging for 30 months in wood. Born in 1988, the wine harmonizes Serralunga's classic dark and mineral aromas with an extraordinary fruity component, presenting a bouquet ranging from sour cherry, tar, truffle, rhubarb to licorice. On the palate, it unveils a robust structure, austerity, and enveloping complexity, promising remarkable aging potential.
