Description
This Brunello di Montalcino is produced from vineyards aged 25 years, located at various altitudes and exposures, in an area characterized by poor and rocky soils. Production takes place in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, in the Southeast region of Montalcino. Harvesting is manual and rigorously selected, with low yields. Vinification occurs in wooden vats with spontaneous fermentations and prolonged macerations, followed by a long aging period in oak barrels. Bottling took place on November 23, 2021, in a cool and humid season. The harvest was very diversified, with multiple passes to ensure the perfect ripening of the grapes. Despite the season's conditions, the resulting Brunello is characterized by finesse and elegance rather than muscularity, maintaining the classic expression of Poggio di Sotto wines.
