Renato Ratti was a pioneer of modern Barolo, capable of mapping the historical subzones and MGAs of the territory and enhancing their characteristics through careful and respectful winemaking. His production philosophy, passed down by the family, is based on the uniqueness of the areas of origin, the classification of vintages and bottle aging to obtain soft, elegant and long-lived wines. Ratti’s Barolo wines are authentic and refined expressions of Langa, the result of innovative and courageous art. Renato Ratti is indissolubly linked to the evolution and affirmation of modern Barolo. It was his idea to introduce the concept of CRU in Langhe. In 1965 he made his first vinification in purity.
