Description
The Riserva Francesco Battista Crio-Rosé 2012, a Franciacorta wine from I Barisei, is an extraordinary product, born from the tradition and history of a family that has deep ties with the land of Franciacorta for over a century. This wine is made entirely from Pinot Noir grapes, which undergo cryo-maceration on the skins, giving the wine an intense and bright cherry color. Its long maturation on the yeasts, lasting a good 90 months, gives it a robust structure and an aromatic complexity that continually develops in the glass. On the nose, it stands out for its elegance, with notes of ginger, gentian, and mallow, followed by the sweetness of nectarine peach and almond, then revealing the fruity and spicy notes typical of macerated Pinot Noir. On the palate, the freshness and juiciness of cherry and currant are perceived, enriched by aromas of herbs and spices. Its structure is powerful and promises extensive future evolution. The finish is long and dry, with balsamic hints of resin and undergrowth.
