Description
Baffonero is the Grand Cru 100% Merlot of Rocca di Frassinello. The Merlot clones planted come from Château Lafite. This wine tells the tradition, strength and elegance of Maremma. The 2019 vintage was very variable and at the time of harvest the Merlot grapes were perfectly intact, healthy and juicy. On the nose, the wine reveals aromas characterized by a variety of black fruits, in particular blackberry and blueberry, but also notes of vanilla, tobacco, chocolate and slight hints of coffee. In the mouth it is full and robust and shows all its complexity as well as a marked freshness that makes it long and pleasant and particularly persistent in the finish. Baffonero is a soft and velvety wine, rich in polyphenols and extract, balanced by a pleasant freshness.
